My eyebrows are very important to me, I can tell you with a straight face that I would do anything to achieve the most perfect eyebrows. Don’t underestimate how much work this can be. It takes an amount of work to maintain a good eyebrow shape. When ‘Christian Faye’ lauched the ‘Eye Brow Dip Pomade’ (€24,95/4,5 gr) a few weeks ago I was very curious and very eager to give this new product a try.
When my eyebrows are shaped properly I am able to use less make-up and still look good. As you might have noticed already I am a big fan or maybe the biggest fan of the Tom Ford Brow Sculptor. But that doesn’t mean that I can’t find a new favourite. I am always willing to try something new especially when it comes to ‘beauty’.
Christian Faye Eyebrow Dip Pomade comes in a selection of four shades : Taupe, Irid Brown, Dark Brown and Charcoal. To be very honest I can only use two of their shades. The Taupe color is too light- even for my blonde friends, let alone for me and the Irid Brown is a little bit to reddish in my opinion. Dark Brown is a very nice shade and it suits my skintone very well. I like the fact that it glides onto my skin and hair and that the wax can’t move! This is definitely the best waterproof product that I have ever tried in my life and believe me I have tried lots! In conclusion: Just perfect for the hot and sweaty summer days.
How do I use this product?
I use this product as a primer to create well defined brows. I draw small lines around my eyebrows (to imitate the look of real brow hairs) with a fine pencil untill I have reached the desired look. If everything goes as originally planned I can start with filling in my eyebrows with the ‘Dark Brown’ Brow Pomade. The dual sided brush does the job but I generally prefer a denser brush because in my opinion you need this if you want to work precisely. Don’t forget to use the spoolie to brush your brows into place.
I like the product but the selection of shades could be better. I wouldn’t know anyone who likes to fill in their eyebrows with black. And the Taupe shade is a little bit to light/ grey for my liking.
But overall I think that it is a nice product and if the shades suit you, it will definitely work for you.
