SKINS INSTITUTE & AFRICAN BOTANICS MARULA OIL

SKINS INSTITUTE & AFRICAN BOTANICS MARULA OIL

Last Friday I went to Skins Institute Runstraat for a quick 30 minutes facial. The facial was customized and included a skin analysis to ensure that the the follow up treatments are perfect for my skin type. The products they work with are high end and also organic. I am so into organic products these days, they are fabulous for my combination and sensitive skin and I love the fact that especially the face oils are packed with nutrients, minerals and essential fatty acids. When you choose to go for a face oil instead of a moisturizer you get the whole package! Oils are all natural and need no preservatives. If you want to discover high end organic products you need to visit Skins Institute. Skins Institute is a big organic walhalla! Like heaven on earth.

The nice beautician introduced me to African Botanics Marula Oil. African Botanics was founded in 2012 by Craig and Julia Noik and is based in Los Angeles. Their South African roots inspired them to create this line. Paulina Moes from Skins Institute brought this line to The Netherlands and she is very excited about it. The beautician removed my make-up with this antioxidant and omega-rich Marula Cleansing Oil which is perfect for my combination and sensitive skin. “The Pure Marula Cleansing Oil removes make-up, pollution, dead skin cells and surface impurities without causing irritation or skin dehydration.” Doesn’t this sound great?? And this is just the beginning of my beauty adventure with Marula Oil. After cleansing my skin she tweezed away some excessive eyebrow hairs to help me maintain my eyebrows.

After tweezing my eyebrows she followed up using the African Botanics Pure Marula Oil to support the deep tissue facial massage. Let me tell you more about this oil:

Lets start with the smell, Marula Oil smells so delicious! It reminds me of a spa, it has a real pleasant sweet aroma. Marula oil from African Botanics is all natural, cold pressed and light textured. The color is clear, pale, golden-brown. This healing oil is widely used for its medicinal benefits by Southern African women and men and has been used for centuries to protect the skin from harsh and dry weather conditions.

My experience:
Marula Oil absorbs nicely into my skin. I felt and saw the instant hydration immediately. The oil smells nice but not too fragrant, I don’t like overpowering fragrances, Marula Oil is just perfect. You just need one drop (preferably on a wet skin) for a healthy glow. I left Skins Institute with no make-up on but it felt so good! I do recommend this line and I will will definitely purchase the whole face and body line.
