AFRICAN BOTANICS MINERAL CLEANSING MASK

AFRICAN BOTANICS MINERAL CLEANSING MASK

I love African Botanics. I discovered it through Skins Institute in Amsterdam, I went over there for a quick facial and they introduced me to this fabulous brand. Read all about it here. I knew from that moment that I want the whole range but since it not considered a cheap brand I had to save a little bit to grow my collection. I have so much to tell about the range and the products but today I will start off with the Mineral Cleansing Mask (50 ml/$75). My skin can turn very greasy so a clay mask is kind of a must have for me. Clay masks have the ability to detoxify, deep cleanse and they also soak up all traces of dirt and grease. Since a clay mask is a big must have for me I have tried several ones but this one is the most bizarre/amazing one ever! It feels like pudding, it smells delicious, allows me to move my face – place a phone call and it doesn’t strip the skin. African Botanics Mineral Cleansing Mask doesn’t turn flaky like most of the clay masks and it leaves my skin so incredably soft! Normally I use this mask during the weekends when I have enough time to enjoy it, I leave it on for 15 minutes (after a good exfoliation session) and follow up with Pure Marula Oil, dermaroll and sooth with the Intense Skin Repair Balm. Marula oil is amazing I like it better then Argan oil because it sinks in quicker and the smell is to die for. Marula is known as the fruit that makes...

SKINS INSTITUTE & AFRICAN BOTANICS MARULA OIL

Last Friday I went to Skins Institute Runstraat for a quick 30 minutes facial. The facial was customized and included a skin analysis to ensure that the the follow up treatments are perfect for my skin type. The products they work with are high end and also organic. I am so into organic products these days, they are fabulous for my combination and sensitive skin and I love the fact that especially the face oils are packed with nutrients, minerals and essential fatty acids. When you choose to go for a face oil instead of a moisturizer you get the whole package! Oils are all natural and need no preservatives. If you want to discover high end organic products you need to visit Skins Institute. Skins Institute is a big organic walhalla! Like heaven on earth. The nice beautician introduced me to African Botanics Marula Oil. African Botanics was founded in 2012 by Craig and Julia Noik and is based in Los Angeles. Their South African roots inspired them to create this line. Paulina Moes from Skins Institute brought this line to The Netherlands and she is very excited about it. The beautician removed my make-up with this antioxidant and omega-rich Marula Cleansing Oil which is perfect for my combination and sensitive skin. “The Pure Marula Cleansing Oil removes make-up, pollution, dead skin cells and surface impurities without causing irritation or skin dehydration.” Doesn’t this sound great?? And this is just the beginning of my beauty adventure with Marula Oil. After cleansing my skin she tweezed away some excessive eyebrow hairs to help me maintain my eyebrows. After tweezing my...
