Let me tell you more about my nail obsession. I started with acryllic nails when I was fourteen or fifteen years old. I love groomed nails but sadly enough I am not blessed with strong nails and I also loved to bite my nails back in the day. My nails looked so horrible and unkept but thanks to acryllic nails they looked good again and were allowed to grow to a normal lenght again.
I stopped with acryllic nails a few years ago because I tought they were too high maintenance, mine were grown out after two weeks and I hated that grown out look so I switched to gelpolish. Gelpolish is amazing but not for people with weak nails. The gelcolor did not stay shiny and chip free for two weeks like promised so I decided to stop with the gelcolor and asked my nail artist to apply a very thin layer of accryl on my natural nail instead of the gelcolor. Since I have the acryllic layer on my natural nails I was very excited to buy nailpolosh again and my first purchase was the Chanel ‘Rouge Noir’ nailpolish, the IT color of all times.
Chanel Rouge Noir is so chic and sexy, it is the perfect subsitute for black since it is such a dark red. Nails do express my individual style, I like them mid lenght and polished. Manicured nails always give a good impression and they are the perfect accessory.
Chanel Rouge Noir (€23,95) has a long, thin brush, I really need to take ,y time if I want to apply the color perfectly. Personally I prefer the Dior nail polish because the brushes are just perfect, not to wide and not to thin. The precious color made me forget the inconvenience of the brush. Don’t try to find a dupe because it is very difficult, this color is one of a kind.
Two layers is enough but if you apply three thin coats the color will still look good. I would recommend you to apply thin coats of polish because that is the best way to let the polish dry faster. I hear different opinions about Chanel nail polish from amazing to horrible. I believe that the acryllic layer on my natural nail and a good topcoat (Dior) defenitely helps the polish to last longer. Overall I love this color and I can’t stop staring at my nails. Highly recommended!
