r’Jo Malone London’ now has a new boutique in De Bijenkorf in Rotterdam. Finally because it is good to have acces to a store nearby. Do you know why I like this perfume house so much? First because ‘Jo Malone London’ knows how to do gift gifting – the packaging is beyond beautiful and, secondly, because the fragrances are made to be combined and layered. Downside? It might be bad for your wallet since you can keep on adding fragrances to your collection. Second downside? It doesn’t stop here because ‘Jo Malone London’ also has the ‘For The Home’ collection. Speaking of which, I bought the diffuser a year ago. My first ever ‘Jo Malone London’ purchase! Here you can read my review about the ‘Jo Malone London’ Pommegrante Noir Scent Surround Diffuser).
Now back to the colognes. I took a moment to create my favourite scent, by choosing three favourite fragrances out of their large cologne collection. It was very difficult to pick three colognes but thanks to the Stylist I was able to line up three amazing fragrances. I picked ‘Wild Blue Bell’, ‘English Pear and Freesia’ and also ‘Blackberry and Bay’.
Starting of with Blue Bell:
Jo Malone Wild Blue Bell:
This fragrance is fresh, floral and sweet. It smells a little bit like a watermelon. For me it is very important that a cologne doesn’t trigger my headache. I suffer from migraine and I am very sensitive to fragrances. This one obviously passed the test! It is a very feminine fragrance that I would definitely recommend.
Vibrant sapphire blooms in a shaded woodland. The delicate sweetness of dewy bluebells suffused with lily of the valley and eglantine, and a luscious twist of persimmon.

Base: White Musk
Price : 30 ml €50 / 100 ml €100
Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia:
Hands down my favourite of the three! I can’t describe how amazing this fragrance is. I don’t only layer this with other ‘Jo Malone London’ colognes but also with Molecule nr 01. It is a fresh, uncomplicated and easy to layer fragrance. It was definitely a love at first spritz. Maybe because I love pears or maybe its because I received tons of compliments about this cologne.
The essence of autum. The sensuous freshness of just-ripe pears is wrapped in a bouquet of white freesias and mellowed by amber, patchouli and woods. Lucious and golden.
Top: King William Pear
Price: 30ml €50/ 100 ml €100
Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay
The strongest of the three. Fresh yet dark, also suitable as an evening parfume. It has a strong opening of blackberry and it is definitely not my everyday scent. I picked this one because I tend to like men parfumes and this one has a masculine touch. I find it a unisex fragrance.
Childhood memories of blackberry picking … stained lips, sticky palms. A burst of deep, tart, blackberry juice, blending with the freshness of just- gathered and brambly woods. Vibrant and verdant.
Price: 30 ml €50/ 100ml €100
What about the longetivity? It depends, some fragrances dissapear very quick and some are more longlasting. I think that it depends on your Chemistry and activities. If you want the longest lasting power possible, I would recommend you to spoil yourself with a bodycream to make the fragrance last longer.
Overall I think that ‘Jo Malone London’ has a nice range and I do recommend you to visit a counter any time soon.
